What is a metallic epoxy floor?
It is clear resin mixed with pearl-like pigment. We pour it over a ground and primed slab, then move the pigment around with rollers, brushes, and sometimes a solvent mist. Every floor comes out a little different, so no two look the same.
Where does metallic work well?
- Show garages and collector car spaces where the floor is part of the look.
- Home gyms, bars, and game rooms in converted garages.
- Retail and office spaces that want something that stands out.
For a storefront or showroom floor, we plan the pour around traffic paths and fixtures.
What should you know first?
Metallic floors are smooth and glossy, so they show dust and get slick when wet. We can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat. They also need a flat, clean slab, so prep and patching are a bigger share of the price. If you like the look of stone but want less upkeep, a polished bare slab is worth a look.
Metallic epoxy FAQs
Can I choose the colors?
Yes. We blend base and accent pigments and can show you sample panels first.
How long does it take?
Most metallic floors take two to three days with prep and cure time between coats.
Will it scratch?
Any glossy floor can scuff. A hard clear topcoat helps a lot, and felt pads under furniture help more.
